The stories of the "forbidden fruit" and "creation" describe humanities coming into existence and our awakening to knowledge. Prevalent in spiritual writings around the world, these stories influences humanities perception of reality. When read literally, their place in organized religion facilitates the perpetuation of patriarchal values. Creationism is based in humanities struggle to understand how we came to exist in this form on this planet. My series questions the symbolic metaphors present through our collective spiritual text, and their relevance to our current global circumstance.
