Winter is a dark, cold time of year, if you live in far north or south of the equator. Having only spent this season in the northern territories of America, I find the time of year necessary for my cyclical evolution and relationship to time.
Regardless of the type of seasonal effects experienced, the shorter days of the year have an undeniably effect on the human mind. While contemplating the internal effects of winter, I was curious to see what my mind's eye could remember of summer. This painting, titled "February," is my first experiment at bringing that internal vision of summer life to the external winter reality.
